Royal Family Kids Camp

Royal Family Kids Camp

I’ve never written a post like this….I have a request.  A prayer request:

I am going to be heading off for a week to minister and love kids through an organization called Royal Family Kids Camp. Whose mission is to treat kids like royalty and to make moments that matter.

Did you know that 3.6 million American kids are reported abused, neglected, or abandoned? One of these victims dies every six hours due to that abuse.

My heart is devastated by this reality.  I’m ashamed to say, I keep my head in the proverbial sand about the overwhelming needs of children.  Many of the children coming to Royal Family Kids Camp will be in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.  Right in my backdoor are children in desperate need of love and care.

Many of the children at the camp don’t know their birthday, have never been told they are special and valuable.  They’ve been treated like garbage cast aside.  As I type that sentence, tears fill my eyes and my mind cannot fathom how a precious little one can be harmed. This week of camp, kids are allowed to simply be kids.  They will have birthday parties with their own cakes and presents.  They will get to swim, have tea parties, do a talent show, and even have their very own firework show (how cool is that?).  It will be a week of memories, complete with photo albums and souvenirs.

There’s about a 100 of us here in this virtual community.  Imagine a 100 of us praying daily for these precious lives.  Will you pray with me?  Not for me, but with me. Will you pray with me, that these lives would be forever changed? Pray they would know they are special, God loves them, and He has a plan for their lives.

Will you pray for healing for the effects of abuse on their minds, their hearts, and their physical bodies? Would you pray for their families that God would bring healing and wholeness?  These are bold, audacious prayers.  God loves these types of prayers because they allow us to see Him move in ways that we never thought imaginable.

Would you also pray with me for my own strength and my family? I’ve never been gone for this length of time, its incredibly hard for me to leave them.

Thank you so much for your prayers!  Looking forward to telling you all about it when I return.
